I began this From Above contest on Friday — but it’s a tough one, and it’s still waiting for solution. Good luck!
Exploring the places dear to the UM’s of the Pacific Northwest via Bing Maps and its Bird’s Eye View database isn’t a substitute for the kind of connection and communion we build in one another’s presence … but it’s a help. Congregations I’ve never visited, in places I’ve only heard announced at the reading of the appointments, become more real to me, and I can better hold them in prayers of intercession and thanksgiving.
Today [Friday the 12th] is a good day for this church’s appearance on the From Above list. This congregation is not as old as many in the PNW, but it is historic. Name the church, link to the Bing Maps bird’s eye view, and impress your friends.
HERE IT IS [address cleaned up by W.]
Great people at that congregation. I love singing with their choir. The name of the church comes from the Tagalog word for “group” or “gathering” or “fellowship”. Samahan UMC, in Vancouver, BC.
