Yesterday, fewer UM’s were expected here, but there was enough food and food for thought to see to everybody fed.
As always, name the northwest Methodist location, find the Bird’s Eye View I clipped at Bing Maps, and post the link in the comments here. (Note: to make a link from the view on the screen, don’t just copy your browser’s address bar; click the little envelope icon marked “Share your map”, and copy the link that gives you.)
Last week’s contest was outside the box in a couple ways: it was outside the bounds of the Pacific Northwest Conference, in Oregon; it’s not currently a UMC or UM property. The view was the “Ghost Mission” at Willamette Mission State Park, near Salem, Oregon. Susan Troxell found it, though anybody’s still welcome to find the exact bird’s eye view and post the link. (I knew I was looking for it, and still had to do quite a bit of web work to find where at the park the frame outlines of the first Methodist mission in the west was located.)

almost 30 years ago I was married in this church, but not in this building
This was an easy one for me. It is the corner of S 7th and Tacoma Avenue in Tacoma. The photo shows the old Bekins building before its recent transformation into our beautiful new First UMC Tacoma. I think I figured out the Bing Maps thing.
