Last week’s From Above contest was solved by Paul Jeffrey. It’s the Lahaina United Methodist Church, on Maui. (Clues: Palm trees. Ocean. Tropical architecture.)
Here’s today’s Methodist-related location. I think it’ll be harder.
Remember, we’re not sticking with the northwestern US, or even the US. We are not showing only United Methodist churches, or even churches … . We ARE, however, only using Bird’s Eye Views from Bing Maps. These views are mainly in the US, Canada, Europe … and a few other locations. A web resource that keeps up with the places covered in Bird’s Eye Views is HERE.
Clue: At least three of my facebook friends were here recently. If they really cared about me, they’d have responded by now. 😦
Clue: no, Paul, it’s not Aldersgate Street. Like Aldersgate, though, it was not a particularly Methodist location, in which a Methodist happening happened.
Clue: Paul keeps emailing me for help, rather than posting here. He’s been asking his friends around the world if they know this location. Paul, maybe you need younger friends.
It’s the Estrel Hotel and Convention Center in Berlin.
Its Bing link and Methodist connection?
In July there were two global Methodist youth conferences. One was the World Methodist Evangelism’s International Christian Youth Conference on Evangelism held in KwangLim Vision Land in Seoul, South Korea. The other was the General Board of Discipleship’s Global Young People’s Convocation held in Berlin, Germany, at the hotel that appears in the photo, which I correctly cited. The Bing Maps link (why you want this is beyond me) is:

The “Methodist connection” is a bit stretched. But it’s your blog.
